WSSv3 and MOSS provide a new Gantt Chart view for any list that contains at least 2 date fields. There is also a new list template called "Project Tasks" that renders both a gantt chart view as well as the traditional tasks items list.

A cool feature of the gantt view is that you can drag and drop the items on the time line to new locations.

 Project Tasks
A Gantt chart is rendered in this view. We recommend that you use More Accessible Mode or press the TAB key to skip over the Gantt Chart to move to the list below.
