Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 Help and How-to

 Categories:

The built-in SharePoint help is wealth of information but I do struggle to find a good way to use it as a reference manual because it was designed to be accessed primarily through search.

Here is a good starting url http://www.wssdemo.com/_layouts/help.aspx?lcid=1033&cid0=MS%2EWSS%2Emanifest&tid=MS%2EWSS%2ECL10074787

Ian, Great tip. Here's another related one - if you don't have a SharePoint instance handy, you can also find this help material here on the Office Online site: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepointtechnology/FX101494691033.aspx you need to scroll down past all the busy stuff on the top, but in the middle of the bottom of the page you'll see links to the same content, plus some more. The documentation folks add topics here online from time to time.
