Update to Faceted Search to support Multi-select lookup columns

This SharePoint Search enhancement should be deployed by anyone who has a MOSS server. Version 1.1 has just been released incorporating user feedback (mine ;-) to support multi-select choice and lookup fields.

There is also a new sorting option (must have been someone else's idea).

Check out the online demo http://www.wssdemo.com/Search/Pages/results.aspx?k=search and drill in to a technology/author to see the breadcrumb effect.

Leonid Lyublinski has done an awesome job with this. Even the installer (from Mondosoft) is cool.

Download it now from CodePlex

I cant see any multi select in use in the implementation you are linking to. If I select "Search(66)" in the topic list, I get a shorter list. If I then press IFilter(1) in the topic list I would expect to get 1 result, as promised. But no, I get a list with 6 elements and now I can select "IFilter (6)". I would expect my selections to be Added to the parameters, nor replaced.

For categorizing Sharepoint Items or documents with centrally managed cross-site categories to enhance search you can use the Taxonomy Extension available here: http://www.sharepartxxl.com/products/taxonomy/default.aspx Its not only for search enhancement, it enhances navigation too witht tag clouds, A-Z index, category tree, related content links and much more. Check it out, Frank
