I have installed it without any problems on this site so I thought I would install it on a WSS server that I had set up for our church Intranet (the time sheet and resource booking features were just what they needed).
After installing GB the template was listed in the create site page but I kept getting an error saying that the default.master file could not be found. It was only during the 2nd uninstall that I noticed some of the stsadm commands were referring to localhost. This would not normally be a problem on a server where SharePoint was the default IIS application but this server had another application on the default site and the WS sites were all on host headers.
The easiest way to get GB installed in this case is to stop the default web site and then create a temporary WSS application using the server name, install GB which will install the required features on all application, then remove the temporary application and reactivate the original default web site.
